You love your pup and he loves you right back. You may enjoy spending time cuddling with him and you may even let him sleep on your couch or bed. Allow the baking soda to sit overnight to soak up all of the odors. Logically, you could do this to the bed during the day instead, so that you could sleep on it at night.
In the morning, vacuum up all of the baking soda. Make up your bed with all of the washed linens. Put all of the slipcovers and blankets back.

Be aware that skipping the above steps and going straight to the carpet cleaning is not likely to get rid of the smell. It may only make your house smell like a perfumed dog.
